How to use shopPal Chatbot
1. Getting Started with the Bot
Simply open the chat and type any greeting like “Hi” or “Hello” to wake up the chatbot. The bot will respond with a welcome message and present you with menu options to begin your journey. If you ever feel stuck, just type “help” to get guidance on what to do next.
- Use buttons and lists to easily browse products, categories, and options without typing.
- Type natural language like “show me shoes” for a more flexible shopping experience.
- Send "home" to return to the main menu anytime, or "help" for guidance.

2. Using Buttons for Quick Actions
The bot uses WhatsApp's interactive buttons to make navigation easier. These buttons appear below messages and let you tap instead of typing. For example, you might see buttons like “View Products,” “Browse Categories,” or “Talk to Seller.” Tapping a button immediately triggers the next step — fast and error-free.
3. Choosing from Lists
For longer selections, the chatbot shows you structured list menus. These let you scroll and select from several categories or options, such as choosing from different shops or product types. It's a cleaner way to explore when there are many items available.

4. Chat Naturally with the Bot
Don’t worry if you don’t want to use buttons. You can also type normal sentences like “show me dresses” or “I want to see shoes.” The bot understands simple natural language and will guide you to the correct products or options.

5. The Safe Word: 'Home'
If you ever feel lost in the conversation or stuck in a submenu, just type “home.” This acts as a reset command, bringing you back to the main menu. It’s like your emergency exit to restart your journey at any time.
